The School District utilizes Employee Navigator, an electronic enrollment platform, for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Voluntary life, Short-Term and Long-Term disability. This does not apply to other Voluntary Supplemental plans. You may propose a different platform for those, but it is not required.

1. Is your plan self-administered? If yes, do you currently use a benefits administration platform for your enrollment? If so, can the name of the vendor be released? The group uses Employee Navigator.
2. Please provide requested compensation for the life and disability coverages. Currently 15% but standard commission are requested in the RFP.
1. Please provide the current rate paid by Retirees for their $20,000 and $10,000 benefits, respectively. The rate is $25.00 per month for $10,000 benefits, which is the only available coverage for retirees.
Disability Underwriting:
1. Please provide occupations on this census. This is not available. We do not store all occupations in Employee Navigator, we only have about 40%.
2. Please confirm whether the group participate in Social Security and if so, if any occupations are exempt. The group participates in Social Security and no occupations are exempt.
3. Please clarify if the group offers other STD plans to employees or if there are any other short-term disability plans with payroll deductions. We offer Lincoln as well as AFLAC.
a. If so, please indicate whether the group will eliminate these additional policies if a new STD carrier is selected. This would be determined by the Insurance Committee.
4. Please confirm what (if any) state retirement plan the group participates in, and which classes participate. The group participates in the Florida Retirement Plan. The membership classes participated in by the group are: Regular Class, Elected Officers’ Class (County and Local), and DROP.

Overview: Can you tell me if the RFP is available to quote with our agency negotiated contracts? Meaning the school district would be open to retaining us as the consulting entity if we were awarded the product lines based on our rates and plan designs? This bid is for plans only. We expect to publish a bid for Insurance Agent for our July 1, 2025 renewals next March.
Please confirm retiree enrollment in the $10,000 Group Life Plan. (per Addition #4, only the $10,000 plan is being offered). No retiree on the census appears to currently be enrolled in a life plan – should all be considered enrolled? The retiree census is attached to the bid. Under Age 70 is $20,000 coverage, Age 70 and over is $10,000 coverage.
