Description: The intent of the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSOQ) is to obtain proposals from and the services of qualified Engineering firms to provide Design and CEI services for extending the existing 12-inch water main along Forest Hill Irene Road South from the south side of Winchester Road to Crestwyn Hills Lane then transition to an 8-inch main to the last service on the east side of Forest Hill Irene Road beyond the Veteran's Cemetery. Design services will also be needed to work with MLG&W to transition water assets in this area in disconnecting service from MLG&W’s existing 12-inch main to the new City of Germantown 12 or 8 - inch main. Services may include design of the 12-inch water main approximately 1,100 feet and 3,550 linear feet southward of an 8-inch main through the last connection point to MLGW main servicing properties on the east side of Forest Hill Irene Road. This work includes valves and hydrant design, navigating conflicts with other utilities, disconnection of MLG&W water services, connection of City of Germantown water services, site work, landscaping, construction engineering and inspection services and homeland security considerations. This work will be accomplished within a paved roadway requiring street repair design and inspection and MUTCD traffic control practices.
