Description: The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to seek competitive proposals from qualified experienced bidders for the provision and operation of Inmate Food Service and associated Community Outreach Programs for the Escambia County Jail and Work Release Facilities. The goal of this RFP is that the selected firm will be responsible for but not limited to the management and operation of food services to include procurement, food preparation and delivery; preparation and delivery of special diets meals to include faith-based (religious, medical (therapeutic), juvenile and other diets; compliance with established food service standards and procedures and replacement and maintenance of equipment provided to the firm by the County.  In addition to inmate food, Escambia County is looking for Contractors to provide a culinary arts and community outreach program to assist in the reentry and jobs placement of inmates.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A non-mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference will be held at the Escambia County Main Jail Lobby, 2935 North L Street, Pensacola, FL 32501, on January 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM CST. It is strongly encouraged that all potential bidders attend this non-mandatory conference, so they can ask questions and be automatically notified of any updates prior to the Bid Opening. At this time, the Board’s representative(s) will be available to answer questions relative to this Solicitation. Any suggested modifications may be presented, in writing to, or discussed with, the Board’s representative(s) at this meeting and may be considered by said representative(s) as possible amendments to the Solicitation.
