Question 1

Posted: 4/21/2022

Question: Hello Dr. Jordan, I’m writing to request clarification of the above referenced bid. As I understand from reviewing the solicitation, vendors should bid at a percentage discount from the manufacturer’s list price. Because the market for these products is so volatile right now, will the awarded vendor be permitted to request price increases when the manufacturer’s prices increase, provided the percentage discount remains the same? If yes, will there be a set number of times and/or deadlines throughout the contract period, or would it be done on an as-needed basis?

Response: We have already responded to this question. Please see the public solicitation.

Question 2

Question: Hello Dr. Jordan, I’m writing to request clarification of the above referenced bid. As I understand from reviewing the solicitation, vendors should bid at a percentage discount from the manufacturer’s list price. If yes, will there be a set number of times and/or deadlines throughout the contract period, or would it be done on an as-needed basis?

Response: The Bid does not allow a price increase as the award is based on the highest percentage of discount based on list price. If your list price increases the percentage discount will not change. As a reminder, the list price must be submitted with the Bid and with every renewal year thereafter.
