The City of Quincy is inviting the submission of sealed proposals for the purchase of the following property: 1516 Van Buren, Quincy, IL.

Sealed proposals for the purchase will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 in the Purchasing Department; 730 Maine Street, Suite # 226, Quincy, IL 62301. The lot is zoned for single family residential (R1C) and is 141’ by 50’. The purchase of the property must stipulate that the buyer plans to build a single-family home on the property within 24 months from the date of closing. The minimum purchase proposal is $10,000. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any technicalities and to reimburse the purchase amount if the buyer fails to build a home within 24 months of the date of closing.
