Description: The new RRPS Independence High School (IHS) High School will serve approximately 350 high school students in an educational model that serves 11 and 12 grade students supported by 39 faculty and staff members. The project site is located at the NW corner of Ontario Place NE and Northern Blvd. Project scope includes secure entry lobby and reception Conference rooms, closed and open classrooms, science classroom, assembly and media spaces, kitchen and cafeteria, culinary/home economics lab, weight room, storage spaces and student support spaces. Exterior scope includes secure courtyard space, basketball courts and teaching spaces. Programmed building sf is approximately 20,232 gsf. The project does not require LEED certification.
