Description: The objective of this project is to stabilize the east side slope of Welland Road from the Bailey Bridge, near the Historic pump house (see Figure 1) north approximately 2,000 linear feet using a geosynthetic stabilization material. This section of roadway is adjacent to open water and cannot be dewatered. Work on the Wildlife Drive can only occur Monday through Thursday. Minimum specifications for the geosynthetic stabilization material are attached. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to properly size the geosynthetic material for this project. Dimensions of the slope to be protected are shown on the attached Welland Road cross section (typical).

The estimated budget for the project is $200,000.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for March 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Entrance Gate for Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive, 2850 Lust Road, Apopka, FL 32703. The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to clarify requirements of this solicitation.
