NOTE: Revised RFQ document 2/3/21 to include correct email address.  Page 13. Ojai Unified School District (OUSD) is accepting submissions for qualified design professionals to perform services related to construction and design of facilities including modernization, new construction, site master planning, swimming pool / aquatic center construction, and similar projects.  Funding will come from the Measure K bond which was passed last November.

Details for the information requested are in the attached file.  

OUSD will open the submissions on February 18, 2021.  Then a review and scheduling interviews with prospective vendors will commence.

Question on submittal size and particulars:

The 20 page limit is exclusive of the tabbed supplemental items such as references, past project examples etc.  Honestly, we are trying to keep the submittals to a manageable size for review purposes, and it is not like we would reject a submittal for going a page or two over 20.

Question 2/8/21 - The RFQ requires us to follow a 15-section organizational format and limits us to 20 pages. 
1) Will the District consider increasing the page count? Yes.  Please keep it focused and succinct.

2) Will the District consider excluding resumes from the page count? Yes

3) Will the District consider excluding project experience from the page count? Yes

(4)If a contractor is also the cost estimator, would they be excluded from bidding on work?  By law a participant in the specification / planning / estimating process would be excluded from bidding.

New questions 2/9/21 - 

1. Please confirm front and back covers are excluded from the page count. Yes.
2. Can we combine multiple sections behind one tab, for example – including sections a-d, each clearly labeled, behind Tab 1, and sections e-h behind Tab 2, etc. in order to reduce overall pages/number of dividers (16 dividers for 20 pages seems like a lot) and avoid waste?  This is acceptable.  The goal is to keep it focused and succinct.
3. Can we include a cover letter and, if so, can it be excluded from the page count? Yes
4. Can we provide more detailed resumes of the staff included in our response to section g., to be attached as an exhibit and therefore excluded from the page count? Yes
5. Due to safety measures related to the pandemic and the current lack of reliable delivery via mail, is it possible to submit the proposal only digitally via email and/or a file transfer platform?  If not, would it be possible to submit the proposal via email as an official intent to submit on the deadline and follow up with a printed submission?  We would like hard copies by the closing date. USPS, FedEx, UPS, or similar carriers.
