Question: Will the asphalt need a limerock base?

Response: Yes. Sheet 11 on the plans under “Asphalt Walkway Detail” show a 6” limerock base is required.

Question: How thick does the concrete pathway need to be?

Response: 4-inch. Refer to sheet 11 under “Concrete Walkway Detail” and under “Typical Slab Joint Detail” there is also a 6 mil vapor barrier to be placed under the concrete sidewalk.

Question: Will the City be removing the trees and wood fencing in the way of the future path & fence?

Response: No. Contractor is required to remove trees and wood barricades.

Question: Who is responsible for moving any high voltage electric items (street lights or transformers) that are in conflict with the construction?

Response: The City of Leesburg Electric Department shall relocate any high voltage electric items in conflict.  Bidders shall not include any costs for relocation of electric utility items.

Question: Plan detail indicates the gate opening to the East side of the roadway, and the gate keypad on the East column. Please confirm.

Response: Gate opens to the WEST side of the road with the keypad located on the WEST column.

Question: Where will the power for the gate system originate from? Possibly a New 60A Service or the New Restroom building panel. Please advise?

Response: Power will be fed from the meter located on the new restroom building.

Question: If the gate system is on the West Side, and the power is coming from the East site, will we have direction drill under the roadway or will an open cut be possible?

Response: Lake Harris Dr. is currently under construction and will be repaved sometime in June. An open cut is acceptable. Contractor will only be required to fill and compact the cut with lime rock. patching with asphalt will not be necessary.
