Description:

The scope of this contract includes but is not limited to: remove and refurbish three (3) existing axial flow pumps, remove existing diesel power units, install new 1,200 amp service, install new 200 HP electric motors and all ancillary equipment associated with new motors, re-install refurbished pumps and conduct start-up.  Work shall include all electrical and mechanical work necessary to make the system operational.  The District is coordinating with Duke Energy to install a new transformer within 50-feet of the south side of the building.

It will be the contractor’s responsibility to provide electrical design drawings, electrical diagrams and electrical load calculations for all electrical work to include but not limited to:  transformer to a new disconnect, from disconnect to new control panel and from the control panel to the new electric motors, ancillary lighting and receptacles.

The engineer's construction estimate for the project is $350,000.00. 

Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 12/8/2021 10:30 AM

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for December 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at Pump Station 2, Lust Road, Apopka, FL. The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to clarify requirements of this solicitation. For mandatory pre-bid conferences, the District will only accept bids from those firms attending the pre-bid conference. Please see map attached to Statement of Work.
