The University of Alabama in Huntsville is requesting proposals to secure a vendor to enter into a contract for providing Executive Search Services for a Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In order to be considered for selection, vendors must submit a complete response to this Request for Proposal. This proposal requires submittal of one electronic copy to Vendor Registry and two bound hard copies mailed to Business Services/Proposal # P00242, Business Services Building, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, 301 Sparkman Drive, Huntsville, AL 35899. All bound hard copies of proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the vendor, proposal number, name of the project, and date. All copies digital and bound must be submitted/received by the deadline of July 18, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
In the event it becomes necessary to revise any part of this Request for Proposal prior to the assigned return date, revisions will be posted on Vendor Registry at https://vendorregistry.com. The University will be the sole determinant of whether any revisions/addenda should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters, and will extend the proposal deadline if such information significantly amends this solicitation or makes compliance with the original proposal due date impractical.
No proposal may be amended or withdrawn after the scheduled closing time of receipt for a period of sixty (60) days. The University reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all proposals.

Question: Good morning, I have 2 questions regarding the upcoming submission for the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion search - RFP: P00242 1. On RFP Page 12, can you please clarify what terms you would like us to add to this form? 2. Under Proposal Requirements, it asks to include "financial reports". Can you please clarify the type of report you would like us to include? Is something more like a statement to show financial stability and and lack of litigation wanted, or a full financial audit? I greatly appreciate your assistance with addressing these questions.
Response: 1. Net 30 2. Statement to show financial stability and lack of litigation, UAH requests this information from all vendors to ensure that the firm has the financial capability to fulfill its commitment if selected.

Question: We have a few questions we would appreciate some clarification on. I see in section 2.17 under proposal requirements that we need to send our financial reports. As a privately held company, we do not publish annual reports. What information specifically you are looking for that way I can tell our accounting team? Could you also clarify the intent behind item 6.10 Availability of Funds? If I am reading this correctly, it is stating that all payments depend on UAH having the funding to cover invoices. What does UAH do in the event that UAH does not have "available funds"? If we need to redline this item, how would we do so? Thank you!
Response: Regarding 2.17 - UAH requests this information from all vendors to ensure that the firm has the financial capability to fulfill their commitment, if selected. Regarding 6.10 - This language is required by Alabama state law. UAH is financially solid and this will not be an issue.
