The
successful Firm, Individual, or In-house Individual will serve as County
Attorney for the Okeechobee County Board
of County Commissioners and represent the County in all matters requiring legal counsel. All
duties must be performed in accordance with the County’s Code of Ordinances and
all other pertinent statutes and regulations. The selected
applicant will provide
legal services as County Attorney including, but not limited
to, the areas of legislative governmental issues, land
use and zoning,
real estate, code enforcement, and contract law as well as monitoring
the activities of any outside legal counsel representing the County in litigation, as more specifically outlined in the bid documents.
