Description: MRD has three artificial reef construction projects scheduled and funded for 2023: EscaRosa Reefs (Phase 1); NRDA Patch Reefs (Phase 3); and Escambia County Memorial Reefs (Phase 1). All three artificial reef projects will be accomplished in a similar manner, using similar reef materials: concrete prefabricated polyhedrons. The funding source of the EscaRosa Reefs (Phase 1) require completion of this project by 1 September 2023. All three artificial reef projects will utilize the same deployment method: precise (within 10-15 feet of target coordinates) deployment of undamaged module in an upright position on the seafloor, with accurate documentation of deployment coordinates for each reef module provided to MRD. Therefore, Escambia County includes all three projects within this Request For Proposals. Escambia County may select one or more contractors to accomplish the three artificial reef projects, as deemed in the best interests of Escambia County by the Selection Committee. In addition, due to the funding agreements between Escambia County and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), representative(s) from FWC will serve on the Selection Committee to ensure the interests of FWC and funding agreements are accomplished.
