Description: The City of Carlsbad is seeking a qualified firm or individual to assist the Finance Director and Staff in the preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting documents for our annual independent single audit as required by the State of New Mexico Auditors Office. The City of Carlsbad is required to obtain a single audit from and Independent Professional Auditor (IPA) following the end of the fiscal year on June 30th of each year. In order to facilitate the preparation of year-end financial statements and financial records for the audit, the City desires to contract with a CPA firm or individual with the appropriate qualifications and experience to assist the Finance Director and City staff during the audit preparation process and to ensure that the audit is timely in accordance with the requirements of the State Auditor’s Office. The Audit Rule requires the audit report to be submitted by December 1st following the end of the fiscal year.
