Description: The City of Wilson is requesting bids for repairs to 129 Tarboro St. building per the attached and herein. The contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, equipment, material, supervision, technical expertise, and other related items necessary to perform the work. The majority of the structure at 129 Tarboro St has collapsed and subsequently been demolished. Only the front, left side, and short section of the rear masonry walls are remaining. A small section of second floor and roof system at the very front of the building is also remaining. The collapse and demolition exposed the interior of the adjacent building at 131 Tarboro Street to the elements. The left-side masonry wall adjacent to the single-story building at 127 Tarboro Street is unsupported and exposed to wind loads. The purpose of this project is to stabilize the existing masonry wall, reconstruct the rear masonry wall, and construct a roof. Scope of contract is shown on the plans titled: “Structural Alteration for: City of Wilson Bid 2024 - 129 Tarboro Street” with issue date of 10/21/2024.
