Rancho MS HVAC being solicited in this RFP will include plan review and
evaluation, program review and evaluation, programming, schematic design,
design development, construction documents, construction administration, review
and evaluation of issues through the warranty period and beyond if needed, and
portable re-location planning studies, documents and coordination if needed.
Project
Scope:
Rio Rancho
Public Schools (RRPS) has secured bonds for the design and construction of HVAC
replacement projects at numerous schools.
RRPS would like the services of an architectural firm to oversee the
design of new HVAC systems that would include mechanical and electrical
upgrades as necessary to modernize these systems. These services would include the acquisition
and oversite of any and all professionals needed to assure the design(s) meet
all current code and energy standards established by NMCID and NMPED. Services shall include any and all
architectural,
mechanical, and electrical modifications needed to assure proper functioning of
referenced systems.
Rio Rancho
Public Schools has established district standards (7/2020) to be used to ensure
that compatible and consistent equipment and materials are installed in current
and future projects. The items included in the MEP standards are being
standardized in order to meet operations and maintenance needs and realize
long-term benefits to the district by streamlining maintenance and reducing
operating costs. Included in these standards are HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical
systems the district desires to be included in the design.
NOTE: Testudo Engineering completed a design in 2018
for HVAC upgrade. Reference 2018 design
drawings. Also, please be aware that the
district shall require prospective architectural design consultants to utilize
the services and information provided by Testudo Engineering as their (MEP)
mechanical/electrical/plumbing subcontractor.
