Description: The Carlsbad Municipal Schools is accepting proposals for an online College & Career Readiness Program. A proposal is requested for the 2023-2024 school year. The District may issue multiple source awards for this proposal if determined to be in the District’s best interest. This proposal may be renewed for up to three (3) additional school years, which begin on July 1, 20xx and end on June 30, 20xx. RFP renewals for each school year must be mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to July 1, 20xx of each subsequent year. Annual renewals are contingent on approval of the Board of Education.

Question: What are the intended goals to be achieved by implementing a new solution? What does success look like for the district?

Response: The rubric scale articulates what we are wanting for a college and career program. We want highly engaging, relevant and multi media sources for students to access. We aren’t interested in downloading worksheets for students, but desire a video/media program that students can learn about workforce skills, college resources, and career research. The outcome is that we have more students graduating with college acceptance and workforce skills.

Response: Students, teachers and school leadership should have various ranges of accessibility as it relates to their role.

Response: At this time, an estimated planned investment amount has not been determined

Response: Depending on the grade level, with a greater emphasis on high school, ideally we would like students to sign in program on a weekly basis with dedicated time for CCR in a specific class such as advisory or social studies.

Response: Yes, we are open for a multi- platform solution to meet all our CCR needs.

Response: The district has the following number of students and staff based on both Elementary and Secondary Schools: 5 Elementaries with 3,498 students 2 Middle Schools grades 6th-8th with 1471 students 1 Primary High School, 1 Early College High School and 1 Enrichment School with a total of 1923 students Number of staff/teachers/campus leadership for elementaries approximately 179 Number of staff/teachers/campus leadership for secondary is approximately 289 personnel.

Question: What actions does each user group need to take within the system? (e.g., view and/or enter data, send email or other communications, create forms, etc.).

Response: A varied tier system of access would be based on district leadership for data reports, campus leadership such as counselors to access student accounts to guide student discussions, as well as principals to pull reports such as student usage etc., and easy ability to send emails and messages to students and parents. Teachers would access the curriculum side for student progress and students have full access to their individual account to utilize tools and assignments as well as messages.

Response: The College and Career Coordinator would be the main point of implementation and roll out in district, the IT and Data Director would be over all things related to integration and sign on system
