Description: Sealed BIDS will be received by Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners at the Okeechobee County Historical Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, FL 34972 no later than 3:00pm on Wednesday March 12, 2025. Bids will be received on the first floor, Room 123, and publicly opened in Room 201 and read aloud. Any BIDS received after the time specified will not be accepted.
Okeechobee County is accepting bids for the following scope of work, but is not limited to, additions to the existing Main Event Arena at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center & Fairgrounds. The extensions will be constructed at the two east corners or quadrants of the arena and consist of extensions of the low canopy roofs which cover the north and south concourses. The additions should have electrical, lighting and fire suppression systems to match the extensions on the west end. There will be no disruption of existing exit access pathways. The total area of the two quadrant additions is an estimated 5,800 square feet. The contractor shall be responsible to confirm all measurements and existing conditions for bidding purposes. The County may elect to construct one or both quadrants. Bidding firms should provide pricing for the base option and two alternatives.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING shall be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center & Fairgrounds, 4200 State Road 70, Okeechobee, FL 34972. Bidder's attendance is mandatory. BIDS RECEIVED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRE-BID MEETING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The purpose of the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is to provide a site visit to the location.
