- Shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services to fulfill the scope of work as outlined.
- Is to supervise or provide a competent supervisor to supervise all of the work involved.
- Provide submittal drawings for approval of proposed installation including dimensions and specifications on the
proposed controls replacement for the Kendall County Courthouse Sally Port elevator.

HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT------ RETAINED
WIRING----------NEW
All wiring and electrical interconnection shall comply with governing codes. Insulated wiring shall have flame retardant
and moisture-proof outer covering. Traveling cables shall be flexible and suitably suspended to relieve strain on
individual conductors.
.CONTROLLER-------NEW
Solid state control system of non-propriety design simplex collective operation with proven field performance.
Operation shall be automatic by means of the car and landing buttons. Stops registered by momentary actuation of the car
or landing button shall be made in order in which the landings are reached in each direction of travel after the button have
been actuate. If all calls in the system have been answered, the car shall park at the last landing severed.
*** Note: Local buttons will be disabled. Operation of the elevator is through interface to existing security control
system touch screen. Security Interface is to be able to be disabled for local testing of elevator car & controls. ***
***Include cost to interface to existing Security System Touch Screen Interface. Relay interface currently in use is
shown in Attachment D. ***
HOISTWAY OPERATING DEVICES------RETAINED
Replace “top and bottom” limit switches, designed to work specifically with the new control system. Normal terminal
stopping devices shall be provided to slow down and stop the car automatically at the terminal landing and to
automatically cut of the power.
CAR TOP INSPECTION-------NEW
Top of car inspection unit with up and down button stop button and two position toggle switches securely fastened to
crosshead to comply with code.
DOOR OPERATORS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT-------RETAINED
The existing door operators and equipment will be inspected and refurbished as need for “as new” operation.
CAR DOOR PROTECTIVE DEVICE (infrared edge)--------RETAINED
INTERLOCKS-------- RETAINED
Interlocks shall be inspected and refurbished to “as new” condition.
CAR OPERATING PANEL-------------NEW (per current code requirements)
Provide a new stainless steel finish with mechanical illuminated buttons with LED lamps alarm bell, passing gongs,
emergency light, emergency light test key, door open, door close, stop switch, fire service hat, fire service key switch,
fires service call cancel button, braille, service cabinet with light switch, utility outlet, independent switch, inspection
switch, fan switch, digital car position indicator, emergency phone hands free, engraved capacity. Approval drawings
provided prior to manufacture.
HALL BUTTONS------NEW
We will provide new stainless steel fixtures. Surface mounted, mechanical buttons illuminated with LED lamps.
CAR LANTERN --------NEW
Stainless steel, with visual and audible signals. The audible signal shall be an electronic chime activating once for the up
direction and twice for down. Main landing will include a surface mounted digital readout of floor position adjacent to the
hoistway door.
