Description: The County of Sierra, State of New Mexico, on behalf of the Sierra County Board of County Commissioners, seeks sealed proposals from vendors for the purpose of constructing three (3) additional vehicle bays connected to the existing Poverty Creek Volunteer Fire Department building. 


There is a MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Conference associated with this procurement. This will be held on April 22nd at 2:00 PM at the Poverty Creek Volunteer Fire Department building. Potential offerors shall attend this meeting to address any questions or concerns at this time. 

The Summary Scope of Work is as follows:
1. Remove the existing 20’x56’, 4” concrete slab and pour a new 20’x56’, 6” concrete slab, reinforcing this slab with rebar and footers.
2. Uninstall the three (3) existing roll-up bay doors and the one (1) door labeled #3070 from the North-East side of the building and store in a secure location until their re-installation in the building addition.
3. Construct a new 20’x56’ addition (metal building).
4. Install insulation and ventilation systems.
5. Extend/re-wire existing electrical components to their new location
6. Install lighting per engineered plan

All engineered work including electric work will be completed to code standards upon project completion. 

Proposals must be RECEIVED for review and evaluation by the procurement manager or designee no later than 3:00 PM MDT on May 16th, 2025. Proposals received after this deadline for any reason will not be accepted or considered.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: Pre-bid Meeting / Site walk will take place at the Poverty Creek Volunteer Fire Department Building located at 953 Hwy 59 Winston, New Mexico, 87943.
