Notice is hereby given that the Peach County Board of Commissioners will let a contract to the most-experienced, responsible, qualified, Bidder for the Peach County Health Department which is located at 406 East Church Street Fort Valley, GA 30130. 

Qualifications and experience shall be submitted to the Peach County Board of Commissioners, 213 Person Street Fort Valley, Georgia 31030, no later than 2:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, Tuesday October 15, 2019. Bids will be opened in public without discussion on October 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, at the Peach County Board of Commissioner’s Office, 213 Persons Street, Fort Valley, GA 31030.  Bid amounts will not be released until the Board of Commissioners has awarded the project to the winning contractor.

NO CONTACT can be made with the County Administrator, Commissioners or any other Peach County personnel. Contacting any individuals with Peach County will immediately disqualify any bidder.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the jobsite on October 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Qualification Documents can be obtained online at ftp.carterwatkins.com Please note that the project is funded, in part, by a Community Development Block Grant which will require the use of Davis Bacon Wage Rates and Grant Clauses as well as bidders being in good standing with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Access instructions can be requested by sending an email request to info@carterwatkins.com.

Bidders are responsible for accessing PDF files online and printing and submitting such documents. Additionally, all Bidders are responsible to check the Architect’s FTP Site periodically for any Addenda that have been issued. Bidders shall address all questions regarding the project or documents to info@carterwatkins.com No questions will be answered via telephone.

Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price.

Proof of General Liability Insurance and Workman’s Compensation Insurance will be required with The Peach County Board of Commissioners listed as an additional insured meeting Peach County minimum requirement. The CONTRACTOR shall, at all times that this Agreement is in effect, cause to be maintained in force and effect an insurance policy(s) that will insure and indemnify both COUNTY and CONTRACTOR against liability or financial loss resulting from injuries occurring to persons or property or occurring as a result of any negligent acts or activity of the CONTRACTOR during the term of this Agreement. The certificate holder shall be shown as Peach County Board of Commissioners, 235 Person Street, Fort Valley, Georgia 31030. The liability under such insurance policy(s) shall be not less than: $2,000,000. See detailed insurance requirements in the bid documents.

The Peach County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interests of Peach County.
