Description: Sealed bids for the Spring St. - 2nd to 3rd / North 2nd St. - Spring St. To College Ave. (MR 656) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 656 Project consists of 3937 tons of PCC pavement, 641 sq yds of PCC driveway pavement, 10,144 sq ft of PCC sidewalk, 1,937 feet of PCC curb & gutter, storm/sanitary sewer, 1,442 feet of 6” water main, and related improvements. Total length of the project is 0.172 miles.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
