Description: This project consists of Relocation of the existing Fabrication Lab from the South Side of the Theatre Building by the Outdoor Work Area to the Art Center Building. The scope of work includes but is not limited to demolition of existing partitions, and providing new framing and partitions in the new Fabrication Lab space in the Art Center Building as well as Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural work. Also included is providing a new DSA-Approved Steel Canopy at the outside courtyard area of the Art Center Building.

Question: Question No. 1: Will all equipment listed on the equipment schedule per Plan A2.01 and Plan A9.00 be provided by the PCCD Laney College? Question No. 2: Please advise if there is any work scope/demo at the existing fabrication lab that the GC or subcontractors need to be done to move over to the new location of the fabrication lab?
Response: Question # 1: Provide the following equipment as a part of the contract. All other equipment in the schedule will be furnished by the District: a. E-14 Whiteboard b. E-36 Electric Reels c. E-46 Compressed Air Drops/Reels Contractor is responsible for providing appropriate backing and anchoring of existing equipment where intended to be installed in permanent locations. Question # 2: No work is anticipated at the existing fabrication lab location.

Question: Question No. 3: What will be the approved copper piping for the air lines? i.e, Type L or Type K. Question No. 4: Per Plan A9.0, please identify all equipment that the plumbing contractor will be responsible for in relation to Per Plan P2.01. Question No. 5: Per Plan P2.01, please confirm if E-41, E-47 and E-45 will require compressed air drops (E-46).
Response: Question # 3: See P0.02 for plumbing specifications. Question # 4: The contract requires the content shown on P2.01 to be furnished by the contract. General Contractor to coordinate work responsibilities. Question # 5: P2.01 show compressed air connection to the retractable compressor hose reels. (E-46). E-41, E-45, and E-47 do not require compressed air connections.

A report on the presence of hazardous materials is on file for review and use. Examine report to become aware of locations where hazardous materials are present. Please provide the Hazardous Material Survey report for review.
Response: Per the District, no hazardous material survey report is available and hazardous materials are not anticipated.
