Description:
The City of Framingham (City), Department of Public Works
(DPW), invites sealed bids for a project that includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, and
equipment to reconstruct the intersection of Edgell Road at Edmands Road
and Water Street. The proposed
improvements will include granite curbing, pavement reclamation, cement
concrete sidewalks, wheelchair ramps to meet current ADA standards, a lighting
system, a new signal at the intersection and fire station and all incidental
items necessary to complete the work shown on the plans and specifications. Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation prequalification is required to bid on this project. The prequalification list is included in the bid documents attached.

Question: 1. Is the bid bond supposed to be submitted electronically with the bid? Is the low bidder supposed to mail the original bid bond to the City after the bid? 2. Can you provide a manufacturer for the trench drain? The supplier I buy trench drains from is telling me they can't make an H20 galvanized steel grate that meets ADA regulations.
