Description:

1. Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office wants to purchase a dual purpose Explosive / Cadaver detection dog.
2. Vendor must be certified through the American Society of Canine Trainers (ASCT)organization. Provide a copy of certification with your bid.
3. Vendor must have a graduate degree in Behavior Science. Provide proof of degree with your bid.
4. Vendor must have minimum of 10 years’ experience in training police dogs in Explosive & Cadaver detection.
5. Vendor must have international references & experience.
6. Vendor will supply a Belgian Malinois or Dutch Shepard trained in Explosive & Cadaver detection.
7. Vendor will supply a dog that is at least 18 months old and no more than 24 months old.
8. Vendor will supply the trained dog within 8 weeks of receiving contract.
9. Vendor will conduct a basic handler / certification course that will last at least 10 days.
10. There is no preference for sex of dog.
