Description:
Union County Board of Education is currently issuing a request for proposal for
partial roof replacement of Maynardville Elementary School. A request for the
project manual should be in writing and sent through the Designer to the attention
of Vernon Weaver, Roof Design Works, Inc. at vernon@rdwi.net.
Sealed proposals must be submitted to Union County Finance Office, 300 Main
Street, Maynardville, TN 37807. Response must reference “BID 0057- MES
ROOF”.
Bids will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Finance
Office location at 300 Main Street, Maynardville, TN 37807. Union County Board of
Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING CONDUCTED ON
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m at Maynardville Elementary School
located at 615 Main Street, Maynardville, TN 37807.

following list of changes thereto:
A. SPECIFICATIONS
1. Revise Section 00 01 10 – Table of Contents to include new Section 01 78 39 “Installer’s
Waterproofing Warranty (2-Years). This document is two pages.
2. Insert Section 01 78 39 – Installer’s Waterproofing Warranty (2-Years): This document is to be
submitted by the Contractor at the end of the project and shall be used for guaranteeing the
membrane waterproofing installed over the kitchen roof ductwork identified on Drawing Sheet
R1.1.
B. DRAWINGS
1. Insert Detail RF-1: This detail is to be used at the steel tubing equipment supports at Roof Area
“A” and Roof Area “B”. This detail applies to 6 steel tubing equipment supports.
