The City of Avondale, AZ is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to furnish and deliver the books listed in this Request for Quotation for City's First Book Project to Avondale Library. The completed quotation shall be emailed to Jill Lin, jlin@avondaleaz.gov by 3pm May 3, 2021.
The First Book project was created in collaboration with local school districts and the City of Avondale Libraries to improve literacy and long term educational outcomes by providing low income households with access to free books. The First Book project will provide books to households with children in grades K-12. The books will be distributed through a variety of city events, Words on Wheels – Mobile Library and in collaboration with local area schools. We expect to serve 5,000 children through this project. These resources are especially important for families and children at risk of learning loss due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
