Description: SCOPE OF WORK
a) Maintain chemicals in cooling towers, at City facilities indicated below, to prevent scale and corrosion.
b) Maintain chemicals in chilled water closed loop systems at City facilities indicated below, for prevention of corrosion.
c) Maintain chemicals in a GEO thermal closed loop system, at City facilities listed below, for corrosion prevention.
d) Test water softner and reverse osmosis systems at City facilities indicated below, to insure water quality twice per month and email results.
e) Contractor shall supply all chemicals and services for the prevention of corrosion and scale, on a monthly basis, during the cooling season.
f) Contractor shall analyze the water to determine chemical treatment level and take appropriate action to insure constant levels are maintained.
g) All services shall be performed by a qualified water treatment analyst and technician.
1. Municipal Building – 101 N. Halagueno St
Treatment: One heat pump system with cooling tower. One closed loop system.
2. National Cave & Karst Research Institute – 400-1 Cascades Ave.
Treatment: GEO Thermal System with one closed loop system.
3. Police Department – 602 W. Mermod St.
Treatment: One heat pump system with one cooling tower. One closed loop system.
4. Carlsbad City Library – 101 S. Halagueno St.
Treatment: One closed loop system.
5. Carlsbad Museum – 418 W. Fox St.
Treatment: Test water softner and the reverse osmosis system to ensure water quality. Testing is done twice per month and results emailed.
