Sealed Bids for the construction of the indicated project will be received by the City of
Goldsboro, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at that time and
location. All Bids submitted shall include one original set of the Bid Documents.
The Work is located in Goldsboro, North Carolina at the Water Treatment Plant Raw Water
Intake Site near the intersection of Stevens Mill Road and Farm Road in Goldsboro, NC.
The Work consists of the following:
• Replacement of one wedge-wire water supply intake screen (to be furnished by Owner).
• Pre-construction mussel survey with relocation of federally protected mussels, if found
(see Appendix A – M&R #4 for requirements).
• Post-construction Neuse River Waterdog Survey (see Appendix A – M&R #5 for
requirements).
• Dredging in the vicinity of the intake screen to facilitate screen removal and replacement
of the screen.
• Hauling and disposal of the materials removed from the work area to an acceptable offsite
disposal location.
