DCAM Certification is required to bid on this project for HVAC Upgrades.

Question: 3. Who is responsible for the removal and reinstallation of ceiling tiles in the corridors for feeds to the new Chillers and ACCU’s? The electrical contractor or the general contractor?

Question: 4. The Vendor Registry electronic bidding platform only allows us to upload one attachment. Are we to upload all bid submission documents (i.e. bid form, bid bond, certificate of eligibility, update statement) into one file and upload? Most bidding platforms tell you exactly where to upload each document.

Response: A vendor can upload multiple documents. When they are uploading, they will want to label each document individually. In this case, you will want to upload your documents as CompanyABC-bidform, CompanyABC-bidbond, CompanyABC-Eligibility. A vendor can also scan all the documents into one pdf and submit them all under one label.

Question: The schedule for the air cooled condensing units notes a 50 total ton cooling capacity per unit. However, the basis of design model number indicates a 110 ton unit. Are the units 50 or 110 ton capacity each?

Question: How will bidders attend the public bid opening; will this happen online automatically when bids close or will Town of Framingham perform a physical bid opening?

Response: Hello, you will still come to the Memorial building, the bids will be opened via computer on a screen, in the Ablondi room

Question: Regarding 2001 drawings 9.1.01 & 9.1.02 the middle section of each of these drawings appear to be outside the red outline and thus not included in the balancing, insulation and duct cleaning scope. Is this correct? Specifically on drawing 9.1.02 between column lines GC/GM and G15/G11 on drawing 9.1.02 between column lines GN/GX and G5/G12.

Response: hello, the bid documents state Vendor registry not later than 12:00 noon, seven (7) calendar days prior to the date fixed for opening of General Bids 7 days before the general bid is Tuesday Dec 10th. The date in the vendor registry is incorrect.

Question: Duct insulation schedule call for interior exposed supply duct to be insulated with 2 3/8" rigid fiberglass with a minimum R value of 6 and cover with a P.V.C. jacket. Rigid fiberglass thickness starts at 1/2" and increase by 1/2" so do they want 2 1/2" thick? When they say 2 3/8" with a minimum R-6 value they are talking about duct wrap not rigid fiberglass, an R-6 value when using rigid fiberglass can be achieved with 1" thick.
