Pre-Bid Meeting Details: MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING - A mandatory Pre-Proposal meeting is required. Only those proposers who attend the Pre-Proposal meeting at 8:30 a.m. EST, on November 29, 2023, shall be eligible for submission of a proposal. The pre-proposal meeting shall be held at the Central Office Building, 1306 S. Thornton Ave. Dalton, GA 30720. OPTIONAL TOUR OF FACILITIES – Only proposers who attend the Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting shall be eligible for the optional Pre-Proposal tour. Site visits shall start immediately after the Pre-Proposal Meeting on November 29, 2023. The optional tours could take up to three days to tour all 23 facilities. The next day’s meeting time and location shall be discussed at the conclusion of each day. Transportation to all sites shall be up to the proposer. **Vendors arriving more than 5 minutes late shall not be allowed to participate.**

Question: During the mandatory pre bid meeting it was discussed that the door-ajar sensors would be its own standalone system. Can you confirm that all door-ajar sensors will receive new wiring & wire back to newly installed S2 blades? Can any existing wiring or any existing S2 blades be used for this installation? Is there a spec sheet for the door-ajar sensors you are wanting proposed for this project? Should the sensors be an aluminum sensor or plastic sensor?
Response: 1. During the mandatory pre-bid meeting, it was discussed that the door-ajar sensors would be its own standalone system. Can you confirm that all door-ajar sensors will receive new wiring & wire back to newly installed S2 blades?The RFP asks for a set amount of equipment and labor to install that equipment. The use of existing blades or new ones should not impact the overall quote or SOW. 2. Can any existing wiring or any existing S2 blades be used for this installation? New wires should be included, The use of existing blades should not impact the quote you provide. 3. Is there a spec sheet for the door-ajar sensors you are wanting proposed for this project? Should the sensors be an aluminum sensor or plastic sensor? George Risk Industries GRI 8080-T-W 8080-T Series 3/4" Steel Door Recessed Switch Set or similar.
