Pre-Bid Meeting Details: Any Contractor who intends to submit a Proposal is required to attend a Pre-Proposal Meeting, which will be held on the 30th day of November 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the office of the Architect, 855 Abutment Road Suite 4 Dalton, GA 30721. Any contractor arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be permitted to attend.

Question: Softball Foul Poles - Sports Turf Company, Inc. is currently building a similar field for another Owner in Georgia. They call for the installation of in-ground sleeves to be installed for softball foul poles. Their softball foul poles will be installed into the sleeves during softball season, and then removed for baseball season. Will there be softball foul poles on this project?

Question: Perforated HDPE Drain Pipe Diameter - The "Turf Drainage Plan" pages for each school do not describe the perforated drainage pipe diameter. The "Turf Drainage Storm Sewer" detail on the "Construction Details" page calls for 12" diameter. Can you please confirm the perforated pipe diameter?

Response: All perforated drainage pipe is to be 12” per the construction details page.

Question: Baseball Foul Poles - There are no baseball foul poles on the drawings. Will the baseball foul poles be provided and installed by others?

Response: The Baseball foul poles will be provided and installed by others. The softball foul poles will be provided under this contract. See Addendum No.1

Question: Bullpen Softball Pitching Rubbers - Please confirm that the bull pens will get the following: Home Bullpen: Baseball - One (1) double pitching mound with two pitching rubbers - Two (2) softball pitching rubbers - Two (2) home plates Visitor Bullpen: - One (1) single pitching mound with one pitching rubber - One (1) softball pitching rubber - One (1) home plate

Response: Please refer to the note on C1. The Home bullpens will receive triple baseball pitching mounds with three pitching rubbers, three softball pitching rubbers, and three home plates. The Visitor’s bullpens will receive a single baseball pitching mound with pitching rubber, one softball pitching rubber, and one home plate.

Question: Fencing - Will the fencing subcontractor (provided by others outside of scope) coordinate with athletic field subcontractor to come back out to install the fincing between the field and the bullpens, or will these sections of fence/gates need to be installed by the athletic field subcontractor?

Response: The fencing subcontractor will be required to come back and install any fencing that follows the installation of the artificial turf.
