Description:
Michigan Migrant Head Start (MMHS) is soliciting proposals to provide and install panel upgrade or replacement for fire alarm communication system, and central station monitoring, at nine MMHS centers. SecurAlarm Systems or approved equal to include:
Removal of existing board
Replacement board
Digital cellular communicator
Voice evacuation feature
LCD white keypad
Extension cable
Antenna
Antenna mounting bracket
Relocation of smoke detector from wall to ceiling
Test horn strobe sync
Test and commission fire zones
Reconnection of fire points
Fire inspection
Monthly system monitoring services: cell monitoring, internet monitoring, monitoring and dispatch services.
Obtain three state licensed electrical contractors’ bids for install of systems to meet system requirements. Choice of electrical contractor by owner.
o To be code compliant, the alarm panel must have a 120 VAC hardwired connection on a dedicated 20A circuit.
o An uninterruptable power source will be installed that will support network functionality for a minimum of 24 hours in the event of a power outage.
NOTES:
Plans and specs are to be submitted to and approval received from the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Bureau of Community and Health Systems prior to the beginning of the work.
