Description: Complete the restoration by installation of transitional grassland/shrub and a portion of the coastal hammock in areas that are dominated by Brazilian pepper, Australian pine, and other exotic species. The planting areas as detailed on the Bid Form are as follows: (1) 12.3 acres of grass/shrub planting; (2) 1.4 acres of grass/shrub/canopy planting; and (3) approximately (5%) of a 10.3 acre portion of existing hammock areas on the island. The 5% planting within the existing hammock will be field fitted and approved by County staff and the contractor prior to installation; locations for plants will be based on existing site conditions.
