Description: Sealed BIDS will be received by Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners at the Okeechobee County Historical Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, FL 34972 no later than 3:00pm on Wednesday May 15, 2024. Bids will be received on the first floor, Room 123, and publicly opened in Room 201 and read aloud. Any BIDS received after the time specified will not be accepted.
Okeechobee County is soliciting Finishing Mowing Services for four (4) County owned locations. The necessary materials, equipment, machinery, tools, apparatus, means of transportation and labor necessary to complete the work in full and complete in accordance with the shown, noted, described and intended requirements of the Contract Documents to the full and entire satisfaction of the Board of County Commissioners of Okeechobee County, Florida, with a definite understanding that no money will be allowed for extra work except as set forth in the Contract Documents.

• Agri-Civic Center located at 4200 State Road 70 East, Okeechobee, FL 34972. The property is approximately eight-four (84) acres.
• C. Scott Driver located at 10101 Highway 78 West, Okeechobee, FL 34972. The property is approximately twenty-six (26) acres.
• Lock 7 located at 441 South and Highway 78, Okeechobee, FL 34972. The property is approximately seventeen (17) acres.
• Okee-Tantie located at 10430 Highway 78 West, Okeechobee, FL 34972. The property is approximately forty-two (42) acres.
The scope of work includes supplying finish mowing service for Okeechobee County at the specified locations listed above. Based on the time of the year, each location shall be mowed weekly or bi-monthly (twice a month) for a total of thirty-eight (38) mowing's for each location. Mowing of all established grasses and vegetation within each referenced location shall be in a neat and professional manner. Vegetation in and around structures, walks, trees, parking areas, sidewalks, or other similar items shall be mowed to a neat appearance as well as string trimmed (weed eater, weed whipping, etc.). The contractor shall neatly mow grass and vegetation to a height of 2.5 inches (2.5"). All trash and debris in the mowing area shall be removed from the area before and after mowing by the contractor. Grass and vegetation clippings shall be blown or swept off walkways, driveways, trails, sidewalks, etc. Vegetation clippings shall not be blown or deposited on the streets or walkways.
Any questions pertaining to the project specifications or scope of work will be addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Jessica Schooley, no later than Wednesday May 8, 2024, at 3:00pm. The final addendum will be issued on Friday May 10, 2024 by 5:00pm, if necessary.

All materials furnished and all work performed shall be in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications and Contract Documents pertaining thereto.

Overview: This addendum shall be included as part of the original ITB documents and the requirements herein. All work performed under this addendum shall be subject to the requirements of the ITB in connection with the Okeechobee County Facilities Mowing Program. Submit written acknowledgement of receipt, understanding and incorporation of all items of this addendum into the bid price along with the bid. Bids submitted without this written acknowledgement statement will be considered incomplete and disqualified.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A non mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Monday May 6, 2024 beginning at 9:00am. Please refer to the locations and times attached to this addendum. There has been allotted time between each location to allow for each potential bidder to perform the site visit at each project and arrive at the next location.
