for Proposals
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the TORRANCE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and
through its Board of Education, hereinafter "the District" will
receive up to, but not later than the above-stated date and time, sealed
Proposals for the Contract for the Work of the Project generally described as
RFP No. 19-06.11.21 A Complete Assessment of all Mechanical Air Handling
Equipment.
Submittal of Proposals. All Proposals
shall be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Proposals must conform with, and be responsive
to, the proposal and Contract Documents, copies of which may be obtained from
the District as set forth above. Only Proposals submitted to the District via
Vendor Registry prior to the date and time set forth above shall be considered.
Contrator’s
License. Required
License: C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning
Contrators to provide a comprehensive assessment of all mechanical air handling
equipment servicing all District schools and support facilities with the goal
of improving indoor air quality. In accordance with the provisions of California
Public Contract Code §3300, the District requires that Bidders posses the
required license classification at the time of award and throughout the
duration of this contract and the license shall be stated on the bidder’s
proposal.
Voluntary Job-Walk. On June 1, 2021 at 8:00 AM a
voluntary site walk will be held at 3 District properties to assist in the
development of proposals. The 3 sites will assist contractors in understanding
the basic conditions that will be encountered while conducting the assessment.
We will meet for the walk at the Purchasing Office located at 2334 Plaza Del
Amo, Torrance, CA. 90501 at 8:00 AM on June 1st. We will be walking
one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school.
Public Works. Completion of this contract
may require the Bidder to assemble/disasemble air handling equipment in order
to inspect, which become subject to public works requirements and registration
with the Department of Industrial Relations.
Award of Contract. The
Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District’s Board of
Education to the proposal that meets the qualifications and established by the
RFP documents.
