Description: The County is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified developers (Proposers) interested in purchasing the collected landfill gas (LFG), processing into pipeline quality natural gas, i.e., Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), and conveyance/injection into a natural gas transmission line or any other beneficial reuse. The County is seeking to develop a relationship with the selected Proposer to construct and continuously operate the LFG processing system in such a way that maintains regulatory compliance, minimizes environmental impacts, and optimizes the value of LFG collected from the Landfill. 

Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 5/21/2025 10:00 AM

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted onsite at the Great Oak Landfill located at 3597 Old Cedar Falls Rd, Randleman, NC 27317. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10:00. Meeting minutes from the pre-bid meeting will be attached to the RFP in an Addendum. Small group site visits during the week of May 26, 2025, may be arranged for interested parties unable to attend the pre-bid conference; requests must be submitted to the County by Friday, May 23, 2025, at 12:00 P.M.
