Question 1
Posted: 6/19/2024
Question: I am working on our company's response to the RFQ for the Communications Audit. I just want to clarify that I am understanding the requirements correctly. You do not want us to include a fee schedule or cost for the project anywhere in our response document, correct? On page 5 of the RFQ requirements it states: "Consultants submitting any part or combination of a fee, fee percentage, or fee structure with this proposal will be immediately disqualified." However, it also states at the end of this section that "Cost" is part of the selection criteria. Best regards, Susan Nenonen
Response: This is correct, and I apologize for the confusion. Please do not include a fee structure at this time. We will first review submissions for qualifications only and then ask for cost details as a next step in our process.
Question 2
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: How many workers (teachers, administrators and staff) does Lindbergh Schools currently employee or plan to for the 2024-2025 school year? Do you have a general breakdown of how many in each category?
Response: These numbers are from the 2023-24 school year but should provide a close estimate for 24-25 school year: Certified staff (teachers, counselors, librarians): 505 Classified staff: 384 Administrators: 48 Outsourced staff (Special School District, food service, transportation): 386
Question 3
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: Can you please share a list of your current main communications channels (and their target audience)?
Response: Main communication channels and audiences: District website (parents, community members) School weekly e-newsletters (parents, staff) Mass communication system - email, text, phone (parents, staff, students) Social media - Facebook, Instagram, X (parents, community) Print newsletter (community members) We have other channels, but these are our primary tools
Question 4
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: What are the greatest challenges or barriers to communication the team is experiencing right now?
Response: We communicate on a daily basis using our various channels, and sometimes even more often! I think we do a great job of providing timely, accurate communication in today’s fast-paced world. However, I think where we struggle is to ensure that all of this communication is strategic, targeted and as effective as possible. This is the challenge I’m hoping our audit can help us address. One of our barriers is our current technology. We plan to issue a RFQ for website and mass notification system this fall, and I know there is more current technology that will allow us to work smarter and streamline our communication with less manual effort.
Question 5
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: What is the District's specific budget goal or budget range for this project?
Response: This is a request for qualifications. Pricing will be negotiated after a finalist is selected and cost proposal is submitted.
Question 6
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: Please explain what is meant by “Consultants submitting any part or combination of a fee, fee percentage, or fee structure with this proposal will be immediately disqualified."? Does Lindbergh wish to see program details before requesting pricing or fees? Or does it mean to preclude the successful bidder hiring independent contractors if that bidder has sole responsibility for performance and payment of any independent contractors’ fees?
Response: This is a request for qualifications, so we wish to see the group’s proposal for conducting a communications audit. Once qualifications are reviewed, we will move forward with finalist interviews, and request a cost proposal.
Question 7
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: Are there significant differences between the new strategic plan and the previous plan? Can you provide any documents that offer an assessment of the previous plan?
Response: The new five-year strategic plan is a continuation of the previous plan. While there are some changes, its goal is to continue the work of the previous five years. An archive of the current and previous strategic plan is located here: https://go.lindberghschools.ws/Page/15732.
Question 8
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: The 2024-29 Strategic Plan identifies as a goal to engage the community. What is the population of that community?
Response: The district’s most recent demographic study (2022 Demographic and Enrollment Project Study Report) can be located here: https://go.lindberghschools.ws/Page/16336
Question 9
Posted: 6/20/2024
Question: Does Lindbergh have more locations than the schools listed on its website here? https://go.lindberghschools.ws/site/Default.aspx?PageID=10338
Response: All of our locations can be located here: https://go.lindberghschools.ws/site/Default.aspx?PageID=10338 In addition, the district passed a bond issue in April 2024 that will fund the construction of a PK-12 Agricultural STEM Learning Center, located on the site of the former Concord Farmers Club, 10140 Concord School Road, St. Louis MO 63128
