Question: Does the City have its own MBE/WBE database of approved contractors for pricing to meet the 10% MBE/WBE participation requirement? The state database has very few local contractors that will participate.
Response: The City will accept M/WBE certification by any government agency, including the Office of Supplier Diversity. Demonstration of good faith efforts to obtain M/WBE contract participation is strictly voluntary and failure to demonstrate GFE will NOT render the bidder non-responsive

Question: Can the contractor send a sample bucket to the City for collection of the sludge material to be dewatered, as well as collect a sample of the polymer suggested for use in solids dewatering?
Response: The City can provide a material sample as requested. Please provide the following: • Collection container (i.e. 5 gallon bucket) with appropriate pre-paid return shipping already filled out. Please provide a chain of custody if necessary. o The bucket can be sent to the attention of Jack Cheney at 3651 LPGA Blvd, Daytona Beach Fl • Collection instructions. Please note how much material you need and confirm the material (i.e. WAS). • Shipping instructions. Please note if there are any special instructions when shipping the container back, and if so, please provide the necessary materials.”
