Project Description
The project is a follow on second phase to the replacement of original plumbing and piping in the campus core Building 1 – 8. Project consists of total replacement to the hot/cold water supply & return lines, valves, fittings, hangers, fixtures, etc. Additional work consists of ceiling grid/tile removals/replacements to install new piping runs as necessary. Project scope may involve several buildings or only one depending on construction estimates against the project budget. Project scope may also include the total renovation of selected restrooms as necessary due to riser piping replacements going through restroom wet walls. Restroom renovations will be as per the current college standards for these areas. Additional scope to be considered is addressing existing wall penetrations and piping runs throughout the buildings to bring areas up to current codes.

The selected design team will have experience in the design & construction administration of similar renovation/replacement projects. Important elements in the selection process will be experience in ensuring protection of buildings and surrounding campus property. The firms must have experience in the complete design and monitoring construction of piping/plumbing systems, to ensure work meets all requirements and to ensure subsequent warranties.  

Scope of Services
The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner’s project requirements.

As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.

During the construction period, provide not less than 4 hours (excluding travel time) on-site construction administration services each week, including (1) attendance at progress meetings, (2) conduct progress meetings and provide meeting minutes, (3) a written field report of each site visit, (4) on-site representation comprised of the A/E and its consultant staff involved in the primary design of the project, all having relevant and appropriate types of construction administration experience.


For purposes of completing the Relevant Project Experience Matrix in Section F of the Statement of Qualifications (Form F110-330), below is a list of relevant scope of work requirements for this RFQ:
1. Design of the piping replacement.
2. Bidding and award support.
3. Project over site during construction.
4. Construction and closeout support.
