Question: The RFP language states that the districts are currently sharing a garage and would intend for the new contractor to use the garage as well. Can you provide the address of the garage along with additional details on the amenities of the facility?
Response: To clarify the introduction statement, the Districts will entertain RFP submissions that include sharing a garage and the appropriate staff to increase efficiency and cost savings. The garage location is to be determined by the vendor. The garage is currently located at 10400 Tesshire Dr. St. Louis, MO.

Question: Is there a monthly fee for use of the district facility? Who would be responsible for the monthly utilities cost? Are there improvements needed to the facility that the bidders should be aware of?
Response: Neither district owns or rents the garage location and can not speak to the current condition or cost of the facility.

Question: Would the District be interested in bids from cost-effective alternative transportation solutions utilizing sedans and SUVs as a supplement in cases where transportation needs are most efficiently met by smaller vehicles (e.g. special education, IEP, McKinney Vento, and/or other small group and individual rides provided on an as-needed basis)?
Response: This RFP is to obtain services for our daily home to school routes and for extra curricular activities. Please contact each district individually if you wish to discuss other services. Lindbergh Schools has a current contract with HopSkipDrive.

Question: Clarification on page 5 Vehicle age 2. Pricing proposal alternate 1 says a ten (10) year maximum bus age with a maximum six (5) year fleet average. Should the average be 6?
Response: The average should be 5 years.

Question: Page 6 14% standby bus is that for each district? With 50% spare being 84 passenger?
Response: Each District requires 14% spare buses and 50% of them should be 84 passenger. Example a fleet of 37 buses requires 5 spare buses (37x14%=5.18). Then 50 % of those 5 (5x50%=2.5) 3 buses should be 84 passenger.

Response: Please strike permits. Drivers who operate school buses, transporting students from home to school, school to home, and school-sponsored events, are required to have a school bus endorsement on their license, known as the S endorsement

Question: Pricing page- All Drivers are at the highest wage of $25.25, does that mean all drivers make the same rate, given the market this is a low top end do you want this as an entry point and wages higher at the top end?
Response: For proposal calculations and comparison please use a uniform rate of $25.25 for all drivers. The actual wage range will be established through contract negotiations.
