Description: The Adelanto Elementary School District (District) invites interested vendors to submit an electronic proposal to provide Lifeguard and Swim Lesson services. The District opens a pool seasonally; the 2025 season will tentatively begin Monday, June 2, 2025, and will continue through Sunday, August 3, 2025, with the potential for an extended season with weekend use only. This will be decided at the discretion of the District. The contract duration will cover the 2025 swim season, with the potential for four (4), one (1)-year extensions.For the duration of the swim season, District staff aim to provide a variety of water activities for their citizens of all ages and abilities. Daily activities include lap swim, open swim, water aerobics, and varying levels of swim lessons. On average, attendance at the pool is 70 people, with a maximum allowance to be determined by District at a later date. District staff will be on-site at all times during operating hours. Over the course of the contract, services will be provided at the following location: Robert Smalls Aquatic Center 17927 Jonathan St, Adelanto, CA. 92301

Response: Yes

Question: The contract states “The Contractor will provide all equipment required for the aquatics center in alignment with the American Red Cross, and/or other appropriately recognized and accredited life-saving organization.” Does this include AED? Do these items need to be removed from the property during the off-season or are there on-site storage options available?

Response: The District will have an AED provided. We actually already have most supplies that will be needed. ie kickboards, diving rings, spine boards, life guard rescue tubs, whistles, life guard bags, megaphones, first aid kit, rescue masks and life vests.

Response: The pool is not owned or operated by the City.
