Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS) is requesting competitive sealed bids with the intent of entering into a contract(s) with paving contractor(s) for the purpose of providing various paving services as referenced in the pricing/scope of work. All potential Bidders are to read, understand and accept the requirements of this Invitation to Bid (ITB), especial¬ly the mandatory requirements.

Question: Section 1.14, Post Award Conference, in the Technical Specifications on ITB Page 20 states that the contractor will prepare to begin work no later than 2 weeks from the date of the notice to proceed. Will there be a penalty to a contractor if they cannot respond to a specific on demand project associated with this contract due to the 2-week criteria or any other cause?

Question: Please clarify some items on page 3, titled FORMAT AND ORGANIZATION of the solicitation. Paragraph "A" says, "Number of bidders". What is the significance of this? Under item V Bidder Qualifications, Attachment A: Experience, would you detail exactly what you are looking for here? Under Attachment E: Letter from Insurance Carrier, do we need a letter in addition to submitting a certificate of insurance with our bid? Under Attachment F: Affidavit of Non-Violation of Labor Codes is there a particular form for this? Under Section VI Technical Specifications is there something we need to submit with our bid regarding this section other than our subcontractor listing? Equipment List? Labor rates list? Are there additional references required other than the ones listed on page 31? Page 2, I. F. says Bid Security (NOT APPLICABLE) and page 3 IV, B., Items 2 and 3 say (NOT APPLICABLE) as relates to Bid Security and Notarized Letter but page 16 items 2 and 3 call for these items to be submitted with bid. We would like verification as to which is correct.

Linear Grading - Please elaborate since unit "SY" 2f. Sterilant Application - Do you have a Spec. for the material 3d. Plant Mix - Will this be delivered or picked up 7j. Concrete inner curb - Do you have a detail drawing for this On project that will require Traffic Control, Material Testing and/or Survey Staking will RRPS be responsible for this portion of work?
