Question: Who is the incumbent? What is the current contract value including all option years? Is there a square foot breakdown of flooring by type? How many cleaning technicians are required? Will there be a site visit?

Response: 1. Who is the incumbent? ABBCO 2. What is the current contract value including all option years? you can request this information with our custodian of records. 3. Is there a square foot breakdown of flooring by type? NO, but we have carpet, VCT and quarry tile 4. How many cleaning technicians are required? We are paying by square feet - how many people you put in place is the company's decision. 5. Will there be a site visit? Yes, on June 18th beginning at 1:30pm

Question: If we are only working on school days (the district has 175 days listed for the school year), how many hours per day are we expected to spend at each school? Example: Timberland will probably need more than one cleaner there all day of every school day to fulfill the entire scope and keep the school clean. However, Berry Place and REACH may only need one cleaner there for say 4 hours per day each school day.

Response: The custodial staff work year round. The contracted cleaning company will be expected to work the same schedule as the custodial staff. If school is called off due to inclement weather, the custodial staff is still responsible for working and clearing snow from the sidewalks. The contracted cleaning company will be paid by the square foot of the building and not by hours worked. You will determine how many staff you will need to clean each building and how long they will be expected to work.

Question: When does the summer scrub (SPEC-9) take place?

Response: It starts the day after the "last day of school" and goes through the first week of August.

Question: 1. The RFP states that the proposal is due on 6/21 at 10am but then on page 4 it says that the portal will close on 6/28 at 10am, can you please clarify the exact due date of the RFP? 2. The document also states that the district will provide equipment, chemicals, and supplies for the contractor but then on page 5 it states that the vendor must provide equipment and supplies. Can you also clarify who is providing the following? a. Large floor care equipment b. Ancillary custodial supplies (i.e. brooms, mops, dusters, rags, tools) c. Cleaning chemicals, floor stripper and wax d. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and sanitizer

Response: An addendum has been submitted with the correct date listed on page 4. 6.21.24 is the deadline day. The district does provide everything listed below for each location. a. Large floor care equipment b. Ancillary custodial supplies (i.e. brooms, mops, dusters, rags, tools) c. Cleaning chemicals, floor stripper and wax d. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and sanitizer For Berrey-Place, REACH, and Journey the vendor will submit weekly/biweekly supply orders to our inventory specialist through email on Mondays. Supplies are usually delivered within the same week. At Timberland High School we have a custodial building supervisor who will take care of the ordering of supplies for the building. The vendor can request supplies through the building supervisor, if needed.
