This Solicitation invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for providing all the necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the cleaning and inspection of nine (9) potable water tanks located throughout the City.  Details and specification are outlined within this Invitation for Bid.

Question: Instead of "d-watered Interior cleaning" for ground storage & elevated tanks, can we preform an in water AWWA certified clean, via commercial diving services?

Question: On exterior cleaning or ground storage tanks, witch parts are expected to be vacuumed? (Walls & Roof / or / Just Roof)? NO power wash will be required?

Response: On the ground storage tanks, Contractor will be required to vacuum the floor of the tank and inspect the walls, roof and floor. On the Elevated towers, the Contractor will be required to power wash the entire inside and outside.

Question: No waste shall be introduced into storm drains". Can the discharged water during cleaning process then be directed into a sewer drain?

Response: Each site will have a designated spot for discharge.

Question: Can the changes made to the "ground storage tanks" interior cleaning, also be applied to the "elevated water tower" interior cleaning? (specifically the use of divers for interior Cleaning & Inspections)

Response: No, elevated water towers will be drained and pressured washed and then inspected as per scope of work.
