Question: Were there any deficiencies in your past Con Plan and what elements would you like to strengthen?

Response: The City of Canton Community Development Department is committed to a continuous improvement plan that will meet the needs of the Canton, Ohio community. The CD Department is interested in developing a 5-year consolidated plan in partnership with stakeholders that will create measurable outcomes to improve and strengthen the Canton community.

Response: Virtual meetings are available, we are required to have at least one in-person meeting.

Response: Yes, the meetings can be scheduled as virtual meetings.

Question: If in-person, would CCCDD be responsible for arranging the locations of all on-site meetings and pay for cost of facilities?

Response: For in person meetings, no costs will be charged. The City of Canton Department of Community Development will schedule the meetings using facilities with no fees.

Question: On page 5 of the RFP, one of the requirements is “e. Present drafts of both documents to the City Council and evening public meeting and prepare meeting minutes.” Please clarify what is meant by “prepare meeting minutes.”

Response: When meeting with community stakeholders, consultant(s) are responsible for preparing and compiling the meeting notes. The City of Canton Department of Community Development will share minutes with public officials.

Question: Is CCCDD able to provide a range for the estimated number of attendees for community and public meetings based on similar past meetings?

Response: Because the meetings are open to community stakeholders, we cannot guarantee an exact number. Range is 10 to 40 people.
