Question 2

Question: For residents leaf disposal, are they allowed to use any type of bag for the leaves or are there only specified materials allowed for lead collection?

Response: Thank you for your question. You can look at our website for the requirements for pickup at https://www.cityofforesthills.com/o/cfh/page/chipper-service-and-leaf-pickup.

Question 3

Posted: 5/30/2025

Question: If branches left in the right of way for brush service is a mix of the normal sized debris (8" in diameter or less, no more than 8 feet in length) plus branches that are larger in diameter and in length, do we collect everything while we are on-site and consider additional time as "as needed services" where the city will be back-charged? Or do we skip the normally scheduled chipper service if items are not left by the resident in the appropriate manner, then return as if we are addressing as needed services? Thanks for your assistance!

Response: Pickup only involves reasonable brush pick up and caliper 8" or less. Any other bulk materials and larger calipers will be the responsibility of the homeowner at their expense. The City Manager can also authorize pickup outside the realm of this description under the "as needed service", but it is normally the homeowner's responsibility.
