Description: PROJECT: Replacement of Termite-Damaged Interior Wall/s LOCATION: 517 Tennessee Avenue – Etowah Post Office The City of Etowah, TN is currently soliciting bids for the repair of termite-damaged interior wall/s in the Postmaster’s Office at the Etowah Post Office. The scope of the project is as follows: 1) The contractor will demolish, at least, the interior south wall (the largest wall with the window) including the removal of drywall and any wall studs / framing which is damaged beyond the point of structural integrity. 2) The contractor will submit an itemized estimate for the demolition and repair of the interior south wall, the demolition and repair of the south wall as well as the adjacent west wall, and the demolition and repair of the south wall, and the west and east walls. 3) Contractor will replace damaged wood framing and insulation, exactly as it was installed. 4) If the bottom wall plate is replaced, treated lumber will be used. 5) The contractor will finish and paint all repaired walls to match existing finishes. 6) The contractor will replace all removed / damaged trim pieces. 7) The contractor will only be allowed to work during the regular business hours of the Etowah Post Office, unless arrangements are made with the Postmaster. All site and building plans and supporting documentation will be submitted to the Etowah Department of Community Development for review and approval. Sealed Bids should be submitted to Etowah City Hall (723 Ohio Avenue, Etowah TN 37331) no later than the close of Business on Friday, May 26, 2017. All Bids must contain the following information: A. The itemized cost of the project including. o Each aspect of the project listed separately. o Proposed products to be used in addition to product specifications. B. Proof of Required Insurance o Commercial General Liability – $1,000,000.00 o Worker’s Compensation – statutory limit C. Copy of valid Business License and Full Contact information. D. Time Frame to complete each phase of the project. E. Anticipated Start date. Bid packets will be available for pickup on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 723 Ohio Avenue.
