Question: Good morning, Are the Security Cameras you are requesting for both interior and exterior of the buildings? Thank you, Jennifer Roeder
Response: Yes. We are looking for full interior coverage as well as exterior building coverage. No Classroom coverage, You may use the example coverage links in the google doc that is linked under section 6.3.1 as a reference of what we are trying to accomplish.

Question: We are considering to bid a hosted solution. How would you like for me to quote; just the schools listed and camera coverages you have indicated, or all schools, including those you have completed camera refreshes for already? In order for me to quote all sites on a single platform, can you supply total camera counts and type/specification (Example: 180/360 degree indoor/outdoor) for me? I imagine that you may have a spreadsheet? I think that it would be cleanest if I had a count of cameras by type to provide the estimate.
Response: If you are providing a different solution, then I advise you look at the school layouts and build a layout that will provide the coverage we are requesting with the product you are quoting.

Question: When will the floor plans be fixed for CCH? They still are showing CRE for some 2 of the floors.
Response: Should be resolved now. I also added the Floor Plans with the MDF/IDF locations marked.

Question: Just to confirm you want a surge protection device for every camera that is mounted on the exterior of the building? Not just for cameras that leave the exterior of the building?
Response: You may include it with every camera on the exterior.

Question: These are some questions from my estimator. A couple may be redundant but I want to submit them as he asked them so I can get the answers straight from you rather than what I "remember". Thanks for taking the time to address these. What do the cameras labeled "from PO" mean at Cedar Ridge ES? At Westside MS do the cameras labeled "gym budget" need to be in a different breakout? At Southeast is the any requirement on the cameras that are shown as general? Why are some cameras labeled new and others have no other description?
Response: 1. Camera's labeled "from PO" - Sorry for the confusion. That means we already purchased them from a past PO. 2. Westside MS Gym budget - You may include them as an overall project. That statement was for internal use for us to submit the grant budget to the state. 3. Southeast - This school has all new camera's except for the ones labeled new. Those should be quoted in your response.

Question: I have a few questions 1) Should we plan for a camera spares repository. If so, would 5 spares for each model suffice to cover the 22 schools? 2) For the cameras already in you possession (PO and SSC), do you have the necessary mounting hardware as well since these will be install only? 3) I'm a bit confused about the camera requirement count for Northwest High. The IPVM diagram shows several "New" and "grant" cameras but my notes from the 8/13 site visit indicates exterior coverage only for the athletic field house. 4) Regarding Southeast High. The IPVM diagram shows 80 total cameras. Of the 80, it shows 6 as new. Are the remaining 74 already installed and no need of replacement?
Response: 1. No spares should be needed 2. To be honest, I am not sure. If you would like to include a cost for hardware as an "extra item" for those camera's please do so. 3. For NHS only focus on the athletic field house. 4. Yes the 74 are already installed and do not need to be replaced.

Question: Is it permissible to sub contract the installation effort, if needed to bring on additional resources to meet expected deadlines?
Response: As long as everything is processed through one company.

Question: During the kick off meeting prior to the site visits on 8/13, you mentioned that Valley Point Middle and North Whitfield Middle are new builds and under construction. I was able to find an IPVM diagram for North Whitfield Middle but not Valley Point Middle. For a total camera count into the RFP response should we assume not to add these for Valley Point Middle?.. or will you be adding an IPVM diagram for us to include?
Response: Valley Point Middle was awarded through the technology RFP for that school last year. You will not need to quote anything for it.

Question: For school locations requiring mounting of cameras above 10 feet in the air, will scissor lifts (interior) and motorized man lifts (exterior) be available for use? Or will this be the responsibility of the winning bidder to add in as misc expense?
Response: The winning bidder will be required to provide what is needed.
