The objective of this work is for vendors to supply coquina and or limerock to the District. The District anticipates purchasing 10,500 tons of coquina or limerock to refurbish travel surfaces of several levee systems in the Upper Basin including L74, L75, L77, L78 and L79. Contractor shall provide coquina or limerock (material), labor and equipment to load material onto District vehicles (18 CY ton dump trucks) and issue certified weight tickets at the time of loading. The material should generally meet Florida Department of Transportation Specifications for FDOT road base but does not need to be FDOT certified.

The District may award one or more blanket purchase orders for limerock or coquina under this solicitation. If the District awards blanket purchase orders to more than one respondent, utilization of a Successful Respondent’s limerock or coquina quarry will be based on the following:
Respondent’s cost for 18 CY of limerock or coquina loaded onto the District’s truck at Respondent’s quarry will be added to the District’s average trip-cost of $2.22/mile for a 18 CY dump truck. A trip consists of the actual miles (as measured by Google Maps) between the quarry and the District’s worksite. The cost takes travel time to the quarry, loading time, travel time back to the worksite (point of delivery), and offloading time into consideration.
The District will utilize the Successful Respondent’s quarry that provides the District with the net lowest effective delivered cost as defined above.
